Aircraft Twirls Uncontrollably into Palm Fronds at Frequented California Shoreline
A chopper soaring over a popular California shoreline unexpectedly started spinning uncontrollably, ultimately descending rapidly and crashing into a cluster of palm groves as spectators watched.
Footage uploaded online show the chopper beginning to twirl above Huntington Beach then falling near the border of the coast, where it ends up lodged among palms and a set of stairs adjacent to the shoreline route.
Rescue Operation Update
The Huntington Beach fire department reported five persons were rushed to the hospital including two who were in the aircraft and were “extracted safely from the crash site” following the crash on Saturday.
Three persons on the street were harmed. Details on their condition were not yet released.
What led to the incident was not immediately released.

Officials mentioned the chopper was connected to an regular “Cars with Copters” benefit occasion planned for Sunday.
